A
History of Innovation and Cost Efficiency...
During the 1950's, Junior Steel Co. saw the need for innovation
in steel construction. As buildings became larger and required
heavier steel in larger quantities, the cost of building with
structural steel greatly increased. Thus, Junior Steel Co. designed
and developed the California Open Web Beam*. Not
only did these beams allow for lighter steel members with longer
spans, Open Web Beams also provided support and space for ducts
and piping. Open Web Beams also added an architectural touch to
many structures.
As a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction,
Junior Steel Co. continues to provide experienced, innovative,
and cost-effective steel fabrication and erection.
While the world of steel construction becomes more
difficult and complex, Junior Steel Co.'s solid record of performance
continues to be based upon these simple principles...

You Get What You Pay For
|
| "It's unwise to pay
too much, but, it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much,
you lose a little money - that is all. When you pay too little,
you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was
incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. |
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little
and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest
bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run. And,
if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better."
